The title of this disc is Trumpet in the Winds and refers to the literature represented on this recording, compositions that feature the solo trumpet with other winds, including voice. The program is a grouping of double concerto and concertinos by Casterade, Copland, Hindemith and Depelsenaire; two art songs for soprano and trumpet; a suite for trumpet, saxophone and bassoon by Ernst von Knorr; and an Albinoni concerto for trumpet, double reed choir and organ.
