Notes and Editorial Reviews
“Though the musical languages are so different, parallels do emerge; the Schumann performances are enhanced by Enders and Hering's keen awareness of the importance of expressive nuance - and subtle changes of colour, microtonal inflections and dynamic contrasts are all important coponents of Isan Yun's style...All the performances are passionate and strongly committed. Enders has a splendidly clear, penetrating tone.” - Gramophone, [February 2013]

"I had the pleasure of hearing Isang Enders at the first Shostakovich Festival in Gohrisch, Germany. He was in my opinion the star of the three-day series of programs which also featured the other strings of the Staatskapelle Dresden in chamber groups. This is Enders' first recording. I had heard him perform only Shostakovich's works at the festival and this recording proved him to be broadly talented. Andreas Hering, a young pianist I had not heard before, contributed immensely to my enjoyment of the works on this CD. I look forward to more recordings by this pair, perhaps on DVD."
