British composer, conductor, music editor and teacher. Daughter of composer Gustav Holst. Editing assistant and close friend of Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears. Imogen Holst also associated with and studied music with Herbert Howells, George Dyson, Gordon Jacob and Ralph Vaughan Williams and she studied conducting with William H. Reed.
