Notes and Editorial Reviews
The focus of Daarler Vocal Consort´s first CD is on the three keywords - love, light and dark - set to music in different languages, styles and periods and composed for the most diverse occasions ranging from love songs to hymns to the light to a lament for the assassinated Yitzhak Rabin. In the first half of 2008, the ensemble performed oeuvres by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Ludovico da Vittorio, as well as works by contemporary composers in several cities in Germany. In 2008, they accepted an invitation to the Festival 'Concordia Vocis" in Cagliari (Sardegna). Several concerts followed in Salamanca (Spain) and Berlin, as well as the recording of this first CD.
