This CD presents four pieces of the Potsdam composer Gerhard Rosenfeld wrote between 1983 and 1991. These vocal works were composed for the New York born mezzo-soprano Christina Ascher, who now lives in Frankfurt. She studied voice at Oberlin and Juilliard. Hers is a strong commitment to contemporary music and her highly acclaimed avant-garde solo programs have been well received all over the world. She is also a well-respected oratorio and Lied singer.
