Not to be missed ... May 8, 2012 By D. Leung (Hong Kong, N/A) See All My Reviews "When my brother and I were looking for an entry level hifi system for our cousin in England, we drove around Southern England in search for the right gear: hard and soft ware. Eventually we pieced together a system in London and Reading, set it up in his home out of his sight (before Christmas). Then we tested with the CDs. One of them was the Nimbus sampler 1986. It contained a track from this CD. We gave the whole lot to our cousin merrily but witheld the sampler. He did not think much of it but I was hooked by the track (and a few others). I was always looking for the original CD in all the shops I had been visiting. Eventually I decided to give it a go at Arkiv. I found it. As a violinist I know little about the trumpet. However, with all the musical classmates present in a Physics class in school I was the only one who could give a demonstration of its sound and waveform on the oscilloscope. So I do understand how to make a sound with the instrument. Wallace does it MUCH better and he is a master. With the choice of music I enter into a strange yet pleasant and familiar world of music every time I hear this CD. It never failed to repeat its surprise with the quality of the recording and its natural and dynamic sound. It is a disc not to be missed." Report Abuse
