Notes and Editorial Reviews

Named after star tenor Roberto Alagna’s 2 1/2 year-old daughter, Malèna features new arrangements of beloved Neapolitan songs such as “Funiculì Funiculà,” “Torna a Surriento” and “Core ‘ngrato” as well as brand new songs – including the title track – written especially for Alagna by his brothers, David and Frederico. Joining Alagna on the new album are fellow DG artists Avi Avital (mandolin) and Nemanja Radulovic (violin).
