This is pure listening pleasure. September 7, 2014 By Richard M. (Shenandoah, TX) See All My Reviews "First, regarding the Bruch. In an interview, the interviewer tried to equate Ms. Benedetti with Heifetz. In response, she said the she was no Heifetz and probably never would be. I have to agree. I have had the Heifezt version of "Scottish Fantasy" for some time. What puzzled me was that I could not hear Scotland in it. Heifetz would never be Scottish. This recording of the number oozes Scotland. My daughter put it well. Compared to Heifetz, it lilts. The remainder of the album is pure Scotland. Suffice it to say, if you can keep your body still while listening to it, you don't have a musical bone in it." Report Abuse
