English singer Evelyn Tubb studied at the Guildhall School of Music in London. She later joined the Consort of Musicke with which she has made dozens of recordings and appeared in several television presentations. She is also a frequent collaborator with guitarist and lutenist Michael Fields. Tubb has performed oratorio, opera, and music-theater repertoire that runs the gamut from Hildegard von Bingen to Peter Maxwell Davies. She has taught worldwide, including at the Scola Cantorum Basiliensis and the Dartington International Summer School.
She is noted for her performances which strive for drama and presence as well as historical accuracy.
