Notes and Editorial Reviews
Aptly named "Puentes," which translates from Spanish as "Bridges," this disc highlights the work of Argentinean composers of the 19th and 20th centuries who were influenced or inspired by European composition. Soprano Graciela de Glydenfeld conceived of the project to reflect her own role as a bridge between the cultures of her home country of Argentina and the rest of the world. She has admirably curated and beautifully performed the oft-forgotten music of Argentinean composers for voice and piano.
