Composer David Dies (b. 1972) is currently based in Madison, Wisconsin.
His Sonetos were premiered in March, 2008, by Lynn McGrath at the XIX Festival Internacional de Guitarra in Lima, Peru. His composition Prayers and Meditations was a finalist in the 2005-2006 UW-Madison Student Composition Award. His incidental music for SUNY-Potsdam's production of La Ronde was recognized with a Certificate of Merit from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. David Dies currently teaches at the University of Wisconsin.
