 Excellent Christmas Music, Beautifully Performed September 27, 2012 By E. Barnes (Dunn Loring, VA) See All My Reviews "Now this is a disc to play after the kids have opened their presents and wandered off, or after you've returned from church on Christmas morning. ConVivium's performance is flawless throughout, the organists are right on the money, the recorded sound is out of this world, and Sowerby's music, written from 1913 to 1963, is uniformly brilliant, the stuff of genius, and powerfully apt. Heck, I just listened to this on a modest CD player in my kitchen, on a warm autumn day, and I was transported to a timeless time, sitting in front of the Christmas tree awaiting the holiday dinner and reading the newspaper in the warmth of a nicely heated living room in a frigid northern state. Do I like this CD? Oh my oh my..." Report Abuse
