The NESA Concert Band was established in 1951. The band has since developed to a high level and has won not only four Danish championships, but also many international competitions in Belgium, Italy, Germany and elsewhere. The NESA Big Band was formed in 1980 as an addition to the concert band. The Big Band became so popular that it for years has given its own concerts. The Big Band plays music from the golden years of swing as well as modern arrangements.
