Notes and Editorial Reviews
For the past nine years, the Hänssler Classic-SWR co-production of the Musikalischer Adventskalender has been one of the most eagerly anticipated releases for the holiday season! Each recording documented the wealth and variety of choral and instrumental ensembles in the southwest of Germany, sharing the many musical faces of Christmas with the world: ancient and modern, small ensembles, choirs or orchestras, rhythmic, celebratory and contemplative.
This year, we are delighted to share with you a Best of the Musikalischer Adventskalender with a delightful disc that has assembled the most perfect musical moments from the past nine years.
