Notes and Editorial Reviews

In the booklet that accompanies this CD, Iskandar Widjaja, born in 1986 in Berlin, describes the recording with these words: "These two worlds, "Bach“ and "Blues“ are extremes meant to reflect my musical schizophrenia. Music full of childlike imagination and religious intensity. Or childlike intensity and religious imagination?“ Iskandar Widjaja has already performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Spain and the USA in such concert halls as the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Karajan Konzertsaal of the UdK Berlin, the Opera di Brescia, the Gedung Kesenian Jakarta and the Tel Aviv Opera.
