Notes and Editorial Reviews

Largely unknown music by Ives given revelatory performances

Ives admirers have had plenty to keep them busy on the recordings front in recent times, but mostly in the field of song. So this disc of choral music is hugely welcome, there being precious little competition currently available. Even if there was, these committed readings under Marcus Creed would easily hold their own. A must hear for anyone who wants to discover a little-heard side of a favourite composer.
