One of the best December 11, 2015 By Tom W. See All My Reviews "There are a gazillion Christmas CDs on the market. Some are great, some are awful, and there are plenty in between. This is one of the great ones. But the reason I say this may surprise some. I love this because it is, all at once, simple yet very impressive. The music is not all the ultra familiar overplayed stuff, though there is familiarity with some of the selections. Rather it is a nice blend of familiar with less familiar. It sounds like something that you might hear live, but is performed to almost perfection. I say "almost" because there is just enough vulnerability in the vocals that it sounds real without sacrificing quality. It is, after all, a children's chorus. But hearing children sing gives it a special energy and innocence that is particularly enjoyable at Christmastime. Perhaps it brings back memories of younger, gentler times? This is truly one of my favorite Christmas CDs. The only negative I will mention is the graphics on the cover. It looks like copy/paste text? Why so cheap looking?" Report Abuse
