| Dr. Gerre Hancock studied with Jean Langlais and Marie-Claire Alain. He has degrees from the University of Texas, The University of Paris (Sorbonne), and the Union Theological Seminary in New York. He is a faculty member of The Juilliard School, the Institute of Sacred Music at Yale, and the Eastman School of Music. This disc presents fine examples of American anthems, with, as you can see, an emphasis on some music that is out of the ordinary. | |||||
