Opera star Denyce Graves crosses over from her world-renown "Carmen" and "Dalila" to bring her gorgeous mezzo-soprano voice to some of the great standards and show tunes of the American stage and beyond. Her heart-felt and emotional interpretations will certainly give the listener an intimate musical experience rarely recorded on disc. Songs like "Old Man River" and "Norweigian Wood" are just two of the "Kaleidoscope" of songs on this CD. Joining Denyce are the great jazz pianist Lee Musiker and bassist Jay Leonhart. Recorded in New York in 1997 this CD has now just been released on the Carmen Productions label.
