| Recorded in Buffalo, New York, in 1991, CAGE PERFORMS CAGE features revolutionary composer John Cage performing his "Empty Words" pieces alongside his friend and frequent collaborator Yvar Mihashoff. Cage's "Empty Words" pieces consist of texts created randomly with the help of the I Ching, resulting in ostensibly meaningless yet sonically evocative recitations. These works are performed along with "Music for Piano" for a tapestry of found sound and meaning that will certainly interest Cage fans as well as those interested in experimental forms.
