| Jeff Keesecker is a native of Sarasota, Florida. He got his degrees from Florida State University and Juilliard. He has been principal bassoon of the Florida West Coast Symphony and the Florida Orchestra. He is currently Associate Professor of Bassoon at Florida State University and principal bassoon of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. Pianist Helene Grimaud, born in Aix-en-Provence, France, captured the public's attention at the age of 15 with her recording of works by Rachmaninoff for which she was awarded the Grand Prix of the Academie du Disque. Since then, her appearances with the world's great orchestras, as well as her numerous recordings and recitals, have received international acclaim. It is indeed wonderful to have Grimaud's remarkable talent brought to contemporary music from the Americas. | |||||
