| Notes & Reviews | Back to Top | ||||
| This is a concert such as you might hear on the stage of London's Wigmore Hall on a fabulous evening when all of these wondrous artists happened to be available with a piano, and happy for a few minutes to share the platform with their fellows. In other words it is a programme which only the CD-player can give us. The songs on this CD have been chosen from the Hyperion catalogue to give a representative cross-section of English song, and at the same time make a musically satisfying programme, so introducing some fine and worthwhile music to those who are perhaps unaware of the richness of the legacy. | |||||
