"I rejoice at the reissue of this recording for future generations. It is a deeply significant and ponderous work composed at the height of the composers powers. Delius was a follower of Nietzsche the poet more than the philosopher as is expressed in the selections chosen to be set to music. The performance is all encompassing from choir to soloists to orchestra under the careful direction of David Hill. This is truly a work worth taking in over and over."
