Notes and Editorial Reviews

This latest release in the Royal Philharmonic Collection is good value as a basic introduction to a range of Delius’s orchestral music. Although overall the interpretations lack the sheer sensuality of Beecham’s, there are excellent solos from the principals, and a luxuriant Song before Sunrise.

Beautiful music January 19, 2014 By Alan Beadle (Bowie, MD) See All My Reviews "This disc is a great one for my collection. It presents Delius at his most pensive. I also look forward to more of the fine interpretations by the featured orchestra." Report Abuse
